Various power sector agencies including Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) and West Zone Power Distribution Company Limited (WZPDCL) have already deployed EV charging stations, as have various private investors (including SolShare).
The lack of adequate infrastructure in Bangladesh is a major obstacle to the use of electric vehicles. Bangladesh currently has four designated EV charging stations. There are 34 EVs with government registration at the moment, and that number is rising.
